Series 2 / The Living Fossil / British Columbia / Sturgeon

Historically, sturgeon fishing in China dates back to at least 1104B.C., when sturgeon were described as “wang-wei”, which means king of fishes. The Chinese developed caviar in the 10th century by harvesting the eggs from the largest fresh water fish in the world. This living fossil is to the water what the panda is to the woods. Kathryn shares a meal with friends while recounting her many adventures fishing for this historic relative of the shark family “the giant Sturgeon”.
